Scotland Sea fishing reports. Catch reports covering all areas of Scotland

Nairn

Postby Benny » 11 Mar 2015, 22:36

Hello everyone up north. :sos:

I was up the road last April to visit family and holiday. Every night for a week I walked and fished Nairn beach on the East side, from the river to the bowl.
3 packs of frozen lug, hooks from 2 to 2/0 and rigs from pulley pennell to flappers. my only catch was a palm sized flounder. A local chap mentioned it was pretty sterile along there, he wasn't wrong.

I'm back up again in a few weeks and I'm wondering if there are any places fairly close to Nairn that could produce a bit better.
so if anyone has any tips on location or bait I would be thankfull.

I'll post my results, good or bad in a few weeks.

Thanks.

Do`nt know about that area too much but i do recall some bloody big beaches around there , and all the dolphins and seals in the Moray Firth will be eating all the fish , nice part of the world though :thumb:
