Got to give the guy his due actually Matty.
Once the ice was broken, apart from the fishes back..?? he said he'd only been fishing for two weeks.
He was following her advice on what to do.
She said the scots called it a rock salmon and said she'd rather have a snake on her plate than that.tee hee.
Didn't know the lady but wouldn't have argued with her that's for sure.
He picked it up by the tail in the end and and returned it so fair play to the guy.
Me...never seen one before so if I had hooked it would have s**t myself
fair dos mate
Do or do not, there is no try..... YODA

Definately bus stops on Trumicar lane mate.
Would estimate a ten minute walk from the bus stop to the wall.
Don't know where the train station is so cannot help there I'm afraid.
Others might advise further...or better.

Well done Russ
And you didn't blank on your sea fishing last session. What a way to go
You can only do what you can do mate but, keep trying so you don't totally seize up.
Look forward to seeing you fish the lakes and have good craic

Fishing is more than just catching fish...
Coarse fish caught so far: common carp, mirror carp, crucian carp, roach, rudd, perch, pike, eel and Koi carp.

Sad to hear that Russ but there`s alway`s the easy fishing venue`s like Sandside to keep your hand in where you`re not having to lob your tackle out to far (no rude jokes please) so it`s fluff chucking and pond life from now on .
As for the hat...Brilliant , I thought it was Captain Birdseye at first
If it was the last wall visit at least you did`nt blank so well done mate

Cheers guys for all the good wishes,it's well appreciated.
I'ts not the end of salt water fishing by any means.
Just got to adapt a little that's all.
Sandside and Arnside still on the books as is the Lune.
Just need to fish lighter and hopefully longer.
