Had a go on the mersey 2 hrs before high and about 2 hrs after, had 6 whiting and a rockling, 3 of the whiting were nice plump keepers, bait was squid and black.

Yeah it was a whopper, I was hoping for a cod though but still makes for some exciting fishing.
