mersey 4.2.20
arranged to meet ian4782 mac4782 this afternoon for a last minute sesh on the mersey as the wind was supposedly dying down around 4pm
sounded good if i could manage to finish work handy and grab charlie from school we could still make it for a few hours
arrived just after 4pm all in the water by 4:15
first hour went by baits getting stripped by crabs but the wind was starting to die down so all good
Jamie was the first to land a fish, a nice whiting around 31cm
another 30 mins passed before i had a good pull down then a slack line.
finally got it up the wall a nice thornie weighing in at just over 5lb.
fish returned and bait back in. Not too long after i had another cracking bite and managed to pull a coddie up the wall with the help from ian again (thanks mate) weighing in at 2lb 6oz
unfortunately ian and charlie pulled a blank so i’m hoping the cod gods are kind to them on our next session
