That looks quality I have used a very tiny weight and a spinning rod for flounders at fair haven at low water and been successful . I fancy giving that a go may be arnside at low may be a good place to try it. Great report thanks

It should work brilliantly at Arnside. That is one of my next venues to try. can't wait to get out doing it again

I was watching you wade across the channel from a distance thinking "What a pair of pillocks". I was sure the channel drops off there and the tide is on the turn. I was fully expecting to be calling out the hovercraft. It was handily sat outside the station after manouvers. I'm glad I didn't have to.

I like your adventurous spirit and it certainly looks like a fun way to fish. Very direct and kept busy. I have seen a Youtube vid of a guy fishing for bass in Ireland using a shad with a small ball weight bouncing on the bottom about a yard in front of it. He was fishing over a sandbar and it seemed to be a very successful technique. I'll probably give this technique a go as it gets a bit warmer and the possibility of a bass.

Well done on the fish boys and great to see you doing something different. Thinking out of the box!

Great stuff Chris, very interesting :thumb:

There's no need to go to Arnside though, the Lune estuary is paved with flounders and they take a spinner too cockerham-t1823.html. I'm pretty sure they'd be happy with the LRF method :fish:

Someone else is out on the Lune tonight but I best not say anything more :)

I was quite suprised how firm and solid the ground is out there. I will be back for a few more sessions. Crossing that big channel is interesting, we opted to stay safe and walk round.

Its not a rig I'm using is a Decoy Weedles jig hooks 3.5G. and a imiation worm bait. That and a short flurocarbon leader of about 10lb. Thats it.
