Lee Production Pot/Lead melting pot
Anyone used one of these for lead making??
http://www.henrykrank.com/index.php?mai ... ts_id=1507
I've just ordered one....supposed to hold 10lb of lead and its intended purpose is in the shooting world for melting lead and dispensing into bullet moulds from what i can gather.
Was just thinking these dark nights are driving me a bit mental so might get in the garage and make some leads one night, somehow came across the melting pots and thought it might be easier than messing with pots on gas burners...

Just looked at the link Paul and it looks a good bit of kit.220 volts though but should be okay over here.
230v in the uk and a 10% allowance so should be fine.
Trying to remember ohm's law but gone now from my old brain.
Voltage equals power over Resistance?? Probably not

Yeh,got my city and guilds in electrical engineering mate about 40 years ago,had drawings of triangles in all my work books. Resistance...Mr Ampere and don't mention the equipotential zone or residual Current Devices causing an imbalance in the magnetic flux
God it's all coming back to me now, might have to go and fit some glands

Well, really impressed with this!!
Works an absolute treat and heats up really quickly!!! Feels much safer too than trying to pour the lead from a pan or ladle.... much more controlled!!
Highly recommended!
