I had a session on there in the 90s (before it succumbed to the sea) when your could pay for a day pass :yeah2:

North Pier Jetty 1960. Note the double paternoster, with a weak link of nylon to the weight.

North pier open about 35 years ago. I am three from the bottom on the right. When I was a little slimmer. :gr

If I remember correctly there was very little caught and most prizes were raffled off, I failed in that too. I even remember I used an Abu 484 and an Abu 12 multiplier. You were under mega pressure casting so I fished mostly straight down or there abouts. For the benefit of any eagle eyes I had stripped the cork handle and rereplaced with black shrink tube.

Fished the jetty a lot in them days, good codling, big whiting, and millions of dabs, there was many top pieces of rods went through the grating when tackling up.

WOW!!! That’s crazy :crazy: 35 years ago your fishing back to back. Last Sunday your both fishing the AA Xmas match together. And never even knew it :shock:
