Gynn Wall 15/9
Down on the Gynn for this mornings tide with our Baz and Steve C, dropped in south of St Stephens steps.
Overcast, drizzle but a good swell
Bait was black, rag and the last 2 of my carefully hoarded peeler.
Quite first hour only catching weed and having a but then little sole from mid distance on rag - personal best for me as this was the number 60 this year
Wandered up to Shacky for a quick and when I got back small whiting on rag was waiting for me
Next up was something I wasn't expecting small eel on black close in but at least I managed to spot the bite before it tangle the rig, in protest it refused to pose for its photo
Next up was a small flounder again close in on rag
An hour into the ebb and the 5th species a smoothound pup on black from mid distance
2 hours into the ebb and the weed had reappeared so we decided to and last cast best fish of the day and the sixth species plaice (28cm) on rag with a little friend
So in the end 7 fish and 6 species but nothing at distance on either black or peeler. What about our Baz and Steve? They are not talking to me as they blanked
