Gynn Wall 14/5
With bait left over from yesterdays match headed down to the Gynn Wall for a session with a few of the lads that fish the league.
Got down just after 8 and was greeted by a beautiful day, with a slight SW breeze.
Being greedy had a three rod setup, one fishing at distance with pennel rig alternating bluey/squid wraps and peeler crab baits. One at mid distance alternating flapper rig and urfe rig using black and ragworm and the third fishing at the bottom of the wall again fishing a flapper rig baited with rag and black.
First cast first fish and another for the species hunt, a small bass on ragworm from mid distance on flapper.
Then distance rod showed activity and a small tope pup had taken the bley/squid wrap
Next cast on the mid distance rod produced a small flounder to rag
As I was sorting that rod out, the rod fishing at the bottom of the wall started bouncing and produced another small flounder.
But then after the first hour and a quarter it died with nothing showing.
Then an hour into the ebb managed a final small flounder.
Still don't know why it died but at least a couple more for the species hunt.
And with bait left agreed to go down there again tomorrow with Steve C, who said the definition of madness is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results

Well done Bryan, Not a bad session and a nice day , The new sea wall at Rossall isn't so good for angling with big boulders at the bottom of the wall.
