Gynn Wall 13th and 14th June
First session yesterday, got down there to find the wall was packed but managed to drop in just north of St Stephens steps and met up with Steve C.
While warm was overcast to start with and nice breeze from the west.
Bait was fresh black, peeler crab, ragworm and frozen squid for tipping.
Well quite for the first hour and a half and then flounder at distance on peeler crab.
It was then steady fishing up to high first with tope pup on flapper rig taking crab
This was followed by another pup (crab) and a flounder (crab) before my fish of the day Sole at 38cm to black on 3 hook flapper (size 4 hooks)
Managed a couple more tope pups (both on squid) before
Steve ended up with half a dozen flounders and a sole.
Also note to self even though it is cloudy you can still get sunburn
So with a head like a belisha beacon headed back down to the Gynn this morning, arriving early managed to get by the steps at St Stephens before the wall filled with anglers again.
Again joined by Steve C.
Conditions totally changed from yesterday with flat calm sea and little breeze but still warm
with flat calm conditions we were having a must be more sole about but first fish was what I was expecting yesterday little schoolie on crab
This was then followed by a tope pup on crab
It then died on me until an hour after high water and in the last 3/4 of an hour managed 3 more tope pups and 2 small flounders
Steve managed 3 flounders, 4 tope pups and a small sole.

Just about OK, you may want to fish between the slipway and red bank road as it tends to get less spray over the wall up there for some reason
