Fleetwood beach 17/12/14

Fished near the coastguard station last night there were fish about though the cod were in short supply I only had one at 38cm which I returned I had good numbers of dabs and whiting most of which were returned. What was an issue was the weed! the lines were like washing lines every time I wound in total nightmare..I now see the issue of using the small rings on a contenental rod when fishing a weedy beach!!
Having seen the reports coming in from Cleveleys I think that those fishing the match may well be better fishing down that end rather than Fleetwood if only to avoid the weed.
