eastham on the mersey 19.1.19.

Went eastham jetty last sat with 2 guys off the WSF site I've got to know.Fished 4 hours up and 1 hour down,not a very long walk from car park, easy going underfoot until you get to the gate you climb over in the pictures it only looks small,but in real life it's 6 ft high,but there's a wall on the left hand side which helps,1 lad got over first and we passed the gear over.Set up 2 rods 1,3 hook flapper with squid,mackeral and sprat,and mid distance,the other with 4/0 pennel rig with squid and mack wrap at distance,odd little rattle on the flapper rig (I'd forgot my tip lights so had to resort to bells) which finished up in the mersey third chuck . finished up with 2 whiting, 1 mate had 2 whiting and the other would have won if we were fishing for crabs at one stage had 6 hanging on to his pennel rig still trying to eat his squid (greedy sods) when the tide turned there was a fair bit of rubbish and it pulled like an express train.Till next time,tight lines.ps to top it all I had left my species hunt card at home,after just getting it laminated tight lines.
