Duke st docks 5.9.20.

Got the train from Manchester to Liverpool, intending to fish Duke st for a couple of hours then go to the mersey to fish high water, but as everyone knows even the best laid plans to wrong.
Set up the carp picker 10lb 3 hook dock rig 14's hooks baited with squid, mackerel and lug.Didn't have long to wait double header of pouting, this was happening every put in either gobies, whiting, butterfish or pouting 2 at a time,as soon as bait hit bottom it got nailed, got so engrossed in catching forgot about the time checked my phone 12.45pm (crap )by the time I would have packed up and got round to Seacombe it would have missed high water,so decided to stay put.still getting bites desided to try the sliding float set at 26 ft double hook rig started getting slightly bigger whiting, fun watching the float slam under. Couple of other anglers turned up who had fished the mersey and not had a bite, bites dried up on the float,so back on the picker down the dock wall, had a very tentative bite, lifted into it as soon as I felt it move I knew what it was

big male with pincers that would smash walnuts no problem, bigger than the one I had last week returned after a few pics 2 lobsters in 2 weeks might have to change my name to Lobster catcher, had over 30 fish but none for the hunt,so there's at least one breeding pair in there, just makes you wonder how many more there is in there.tight lines.

Most people will never catch a lobster in a lifetime so to get 2 in 2 weeks is amazing. Sounds like a busy session shame no new ones for the hunt.
