Debut in the North Sea

Postby pros » 14 May 2020, 18:03

Hi guys

I am based in Bridlington now and decided today was the day to dip my toe into the North Sea. This is new ground for me and I was not sure how busy it would be yesterday so decided to wait until today. I did pop out for a recce. yesterday and to my surprise on both North and South beaches there was no one fishing.

I fished today 4 hours down to low, not being familiar with the area I thought I could wet a line and suss out the beach as I went.

Result was quite good, I had a flounder first cast on squid, followed by a tiny one an hour later on razor. The really good news was on the last cast, I had already packed one rod away , I got a nice bass on squid.

I should explain that in the photo I have cut my measure down to 40 cms. so that it fits in the box.

Here are some pics of the day.
