Having had a very quick look at the above links why does anyone buy anything from him and why do Ebay allow him to continue

His overall feedback is good at 99.7% which at first glance would reassure you. Reading the negative comments it seems that when there is an issue thats where he lets himself down.

His feedback is 160888 which is a lot of sales.
So the amount of negative feedback wouldn't normally bother me.
His replies however are another thing.
Not on my list to buy from for sure.

the funniest thing though on face value looking only at feedback percentage his percentage is better than gerrys, and a lot of people only look at the percentages, as russ says his answers are not the best by along way but percentage on ebay comes first for most people

Re: Daveys Fishing Tackle vs Gerry's
That's the point though Chris I looked at the overall percentage and took it at face value I never looked I to the negative feedback until I received such a curt rude reply to my problem, anyone who knows me will vouch that I am as good as my word and if I said it had pumped once and then been cleaned and put away then that's exactly what would have happened and to have this ignorant obnoxious keyboard warrior call me a liar is unacceptable. It's not the £30 it's the principal so much so that if and when I get a full refund I will donate it straight to Trinity Hospice because It really isn't the money it's the fact that these @£&@XXX think that for £30 I/we will just put it down to a bad experience because it's cheaper than pursuing through the small claims court but for the sake of another £35 I will proceed and in the meantime I will post this message on as many different fishing forums as I can think of. Also to all readers of this forum please feel free to coy and paste this thread on all related websites that you are members of so at the very least people who buy from his sho will know what to expect if they have a problem.

Yup, just pot luck if you are the one by the looks of it. Such a shame, there are so many honest sellers on ebay - I buy tonnes of stuff off there....
Got stung myself the other week over these bloody mugs - got my money back through Paypal, but could have been £150 down the drain if not. Fed a pack of lies saying they had been dispatched on the friday and would be with me Tues/Wednesday, then told on Thursday that they were ready for dispatch.... opened a dispute asking for a refund and they refunded straight away, no questions asked - SO either he is sat there with a shed load of printed Angling Addicts mugs.....or he was telling porkies the second time too saying they were ready for dispatch... ill let you make your own mind up which one

So the mugs exist then,or in theory they might...
Thought it was folklore, like the unicorn or a mermaid....unless Craggers or Mac have caught a mermaid.
