COARSE FISH - IDENTIFYING TYPES
Most common coarse fish
I have prepared for myself a Fish type list.
If you have any comments regarding the distinct differences to look for when defining a fish please let me know and I can change or update this as necessary.
I know most of you know which fish is which but there are many new comers who 'might' find this helpful
Items in brackets are distinct features for each fish for identifying them.
Use the scroll bar to see the full list.
Anyone can right click the jpg image and save it to their computer. add to a graphics program or import in to word and print it out if you wish.
I hope it helps someone. It helps me
what have I caught?
No it's bigger then that
no it has this fin or that fin or even an under gob!

Thanks Russ
I just thought it might help someone, I know many of you guys know the front end of a fish from the back
Heads of Tails!

But if it helps anyone it has been worth it. Took me ages to get the right fish to look right on the sheet, I print it off and carry it about with me.
If in doubt by the lake I photograph the fish and check later. I just need to remember the dorsal fin needs to show on my pictures as it gives a lot away when checking which fish for similar ones.
