Chatsworth Avenue Stretch

Postby Kev » 25 Sep 2019, 19:09

Looking for a low water mark, preferably with lug to pump, prior to moving on to Rossall for the mid flood during the winter. As i`m working down that way now,i noticed there`s parking available and easy access down to the beach, but the question is,is it deep enough there to catch codling 2 hours either side of low and is there lug to pump ? cheers......

Alright Kev Laaaaa.
This reply is for Chatsworth ave, Blackpool. Not Fleetwood.
When I used to fish the North West Winter League. I was selected to fish the chatsworth ave stretch, low water. It was in the dark though, and catches were then mainly Whiting and Codling. You can pump worm there, the bigger the tide the better. But as you know worm will disappear when the weather gets cold.
Yes you will catch codling at low. A choppy sea is better. The odd surprise could turn up also. Don’t forget your waders.
