Well bit of s**t night should of stayed at home and got pee'd lol any way got to cadets had to wait a short while waded out left 3/0 up and over pennel out prity muched empted my 515 spool first cast second cast did the same end with a stinky whiting again as it was come up best time the others decicde to go to dronny once I got there same rig chucked as far a could another whiting this counuied for a while then as the tide tryn on came the dreeed weed with whiting can't think of owt worse any way got home for 4am role me geting back to work wishing I could go fishing lol no pleaseing some :giveup: :giveup: :giveup: :giveup:

Hard luck there mate. On my first few visits to the cadets, I cast out as far as I could.
One day I fished next to a chap who had 4 codling to my one. As I watched him he wasn't chucking that far. When I spoke with him he told me he always fished the crease i.e. where the slope down meets the flatter part.
I hope this helps. You may be casting past the fish.
I am not being a smart arse, just passing on some advice that Iwas given...
