Brightlingsea Saturday 8th April

Postby Lutonroy » 10 Apr 2017, 20:20

First time out this year, launched out of Brightlingsea and headed out toward King swin, just past the wind farm. Bait used was squid, was straight into thorn backs from the off and had 6 before the slack, plus other bits, like small whitting and Dogs. On the tide change our position changed and we was off the fish, so up anchor and moved inland but only got small rattling bites most probably from small whites, so moved once more just by the start of the wind farm, caught 4 more thornbacks and got snapped once, fish unknown probably another thoney. Kept 3 between us and all others swimmers, wind chopped up by 3 pm so heated back to harbour
Good day out and sun burnt face.
