Braid

Thinking of using braid this year on my multi reels, I fish the docks at Liverpool and the tide run can be quite strong, I was thinking of 40 or 50lb straight through, has anybody used braid on a multi and what does it cast like, its not distance casting on the docks its more of a lob. Thanks in advance
