It's all depends where you fish, how many hours trip you booked. For inshore at that time. You mainly fish with peelers for smoothies, bass and thornies.

For around the wind farm bottom bouncing with scratching rigs with mackerel or worm baits, you should get,a few mackerels, horse mackerel,herring,thornies,dabs,doggies,bullhuss,Gurnard,whiting..ect..may be the odd early small male tope on a full mackerel or flapper :thumb:

BTW,who you out with?Which boat and skipper?I know quite a few of them :D (I know,very unfortunately :lmao: )

Gwynnie is a funny guy,you should have a laugh with him,but he also knows his stuff when it comes to boat fishing. As wokkie said, there should be thornies, bass, mackies, and gurnard about when you guys are going so i would definitely be taking some fresh peeler.Your best bet is to ring Gwynnie a few days before your trip and ask him what,s getting caught and which bait to bring.
