I had a session on Birkenhead docks yesterday with billbob . we both managed to catch a few fish each . I ended up with 17 pin whiting ranging from 14cm up to 23cm and 1 5 beard rockling .
2023 SPECIES HUNT
Dab, Whiting, 5 bearded rockling, Flounder, Thornback ray, Shanny, Silver eel, Doggie, Tub Gurnard, Coley, Pollock, Starry Smooth-hound, Plaice, Weever, Tope. Mackerel. Turbot. Dover sole.

I had a small codling, poor cod and loads of small whiting whilst fishing for small species. According to what I am hearing from the local lads there are a multitude of species in the dock. I have seen a picture of a butterfish recently caught in the dock.

Going there Saturday to try for a few mini species for the hunt.I was fishing Duke St dock when the guy caught the butter - fish he actually caught 3 of them,never seen one before,reminded me of a little moray eel gorgeous fish,anyway congratulations on getting a few fish.
Species hunt 2021, boredom, thornback Ray, whiting, tub Gurnard, pouting, poor cod
