dog night ....west pentire
West pentire we’ll the evening broke out to be a pleasant one winds had dropped off to fishable so I dragged the whole family out with me we set up base camp just round from polly joke beach seal country and we left it to them.. .again with Cornwall having endless amounts of coast line to pick from it’s a case of throwing the dice and pick a mark that’s exactly what we did heading for the boozer the night beforehand.bait was morrisons squid herring and squid tentacles I also had big hooks and we were off 2 rods both out on to clean ground well best we could’ve and I am glad to say no tackle losses accrued this was typical holiday fishing really ....the bbq was going the fishing kicked off the waiting began 10 minutes in a great knock aagghhh me thinks nice pollock maybe a bass but no it was a big doggy that gave a bloody good account of its self on the retrieval as I am removing my youngest is on to the second rod this went on most of the evening with the hope that knock would be a silver but no doggy’s some were monster battlers and some powerful fighters on land as well as they tried to roll us down the cliffs but foods up so we decided to bring both rods in to get some bbq down our necks but we were back down the cliff face and back fishing in no time we’ll we decided to head back to the bar we had some decent fishy fights with some brutal sized doggies no pollock no bass or mackeral but we had a laugh I can never understand why my youngest son bursts into fits of laughter when he’s reeling in a fish as soon as he’s got it in he stops. anyway COME ON ENGLAND next tide fellas
