At last something to report

Postby pros » 05 Sep 2018, 08:58

Its been a poor year on the fishing front for me but at last I have something to report.

We are at Rhos on sea at the moment and I have found a handy spot with easy access from the beach fishing into some rocky ground, as an added bonous there are some quality blow lug to be dug close by.

I fished yesterday 2 hrs up to high and 1 down, weed was a problem but I only needed to cast about 40 yds to a patch of sand that I had noted. Using a rotten bottem set up and single 1/0 flapper with the lug. I lost a few wieghts when the casting wasn't accurate. After a cloudy morning the sun got out as I started and as the water is qute shallow this probably didn't help the cause. The result was one schoolie mid tide and a snig just on high. Pictures below (I hope).

Hi guys. Just a quick update.

I fished the same spot in similar conditions on Saturday using frozen sandeel and frozen mackeral (I had been out on the bike so no time to dig lug) and then fished today with blow lug. Same result both times, blank. Strangely on Saturday I didn't lose a single lead but today lost 4.

Its also that time of year when I have a go at pumping black, another blank I just can't get the knack.

Onwards and upwards.
