6 BAR GATE
fish just past gate last night a few dogs and half a dozen tings ,sea was flat calm nice night to be out ,lots of rods out along the beach . May be a bit of wind will stir the bottom up and bring the cod in closer

Well done on the tings & dogs. I was out Fri night nearer to the 'Bullnose' and along with Whiting & Dogfish I managed to foul what looked similar to the old 5 Bar Gate, which was lurking in the depths. What a mess it made. Couldn't free my line from it as it washed ashore at h/w. Bottom line is that I lost about 40mtrs of line and terminal tackle. All part of the game!

Fished it this morning 3 hrs up to high, blank. There was a small club match on but nothing caught as far as I could see. Still not been out for a while so I really enjoyed it.
