5 Barred Gate Parking

Postby pollocks » 27 Oct 2014, 20:49

Last time we were fishing at the 5 Barred Gate we noticed what looked like a new sign on the lamp post that supports the cctv camera stating no commercial vehicles. :banghead: Does anyone know whether this is enforced or not?
We like to use a transit van when out fishing as we can get plenty of gear in + camping cooker for the important brewing up ! :sos:

Since the closure of anchorsholme prom the problem of people meeting up moved to 5 bar gate, hence the cctv camera. I doubt there would be a problem with you parking a van down there...unless there is a mattress in the back

These signs have been appearing all along the prom from Starr gate north. Not sure if it's actually enforced or not but suspect that eventually it will, anything to make life hard whilst raising money :banghead:

Is a vehicle a commercial vehicle if it's not being used for commercial purposes? Surely you can say you're using the van for leisure purposes at the time.

I saw the sign last Friday but we still parked the tranny in front of it before we got in the back. Sorry, I mean before we went fishing. Lol.

It was my first blank in a while too. Wind was a bit too strong.
