As Danny and Charlie wasn't playing out due to Danny's work commitments, decided to try at the gun,not been there this summer.Got there about 8.00am,1other angler fishing, went and had a chat and he had a couple of flatties.Set up baited with fresh black, that my daughter picked up in Southport on Friday on a day out with the granddaughter, couple of rattles ,fishing bit slow, the other guy caught a sole and a brief tussle with a smoothie. He packed up and kindly gave me his leftover ragworm, managed a couple of days
then the ferry desired to rev it's engines up so armed with ragworm off to Duke st dock.
Arrived at the dock about 1.30pm set up my 8ft picker rod 3 hook flapper size 12's hooks bites straight away, small pouting, pin whiting, gobies nailing the day virtually every put in.Then next bite resulted in a double header of butterfish,so that's 3 more for hunt run out of day,so tried bits of squid a bit further out bite straight away the dreaded server their bloody everywhere at the moment packed up about 5.00pm for the journey back to Manchester.Finished up with 14 pouting,3butterfish,9gobies and 6 weevers all small but? a great days fishing
