Shore reports — 28 December 2011

A few days ago my mate B.wearing ,billy, rang me to see if i was up for a sesh in Anglesey,  so i jumped at the chance, niether of us had ever been there so was something new.. on tuesday just after dinner time him and his mate gaz came round to mine, got the gear loaded and we were off!

drive down was ok, only 2 and half hours.  we were stoping in gaz’s mum and dads pub, (could tell this was going to be a messy few days……) haha..

when we arrived we just went and dumped our stuff, had a bit of grub, spot on for 3 quid as well and had a couple of pints, as u do like…  then got straight to the bait shop, loads of mackeral and rag and we were sorted…

we were stoping in Amlwch, very nice little town with a little harbour, and a slip way that you can launch your boat in…wink wink padsta    can even launch low tide and doesnt cost anything, got talking to a few people and apparentley thers some good wrecks off there…..

1st night we ended going off the breakwater just off the harbour, got there on high tide but can fish all the time there… got there about half 6 and the weather was awful!! me and billy in army anyway so no rain was putting us off!!!

fishing was excellent, nothing huge but we had doggies, coalies, pollack, pouting, whiting and 2 tiny codling..   smallest cod ive ever had but was just good to antually catch more than just dabs! heres a few pics…..

  1. Awsome report guys, nice read and an inspiration to those (me included) who don’t tend to venture far. Nice one!

  2. Amlwch is an excellent venue. Sheltered and not far to walk from car!
There is an excellent tackle shop there called Telboys. Very helpful and good stock of bait.
